“I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God–what is good and acceptable and perfect.” (NRSV)
Every time we look in the mirror, what is immediately visible is our outer appearance. We take the time to groom ourselves; we select what to wear and fuss about what to show to the outside world. Yet, how often do we look in, to reflect on what is on the inside, and who we are before God. At the National Presbyterian Women’s Gathering, we will have the opportunity to reflect on the call given to each of us, as written in Romans 12.
But we will not stop there. Expect to be transformed! Expect to hear God’s voice and be changed. Expect to leave with a message that you just must share. Expect to leave wanting to shout out!
